STARR Beginner Exercises

You can begin building a mentally healthy routine, by using these “STARR-ting Exercises.” For those relatively new to proactive mental health work, or those in a rough spot where even getting up is difficult, you can do these exercises from your bed, until you are back to a place where you feel comfortable getting more active.

The concept behind these beginner exercises is simple: from the stress & trauma we experience over our lifetime (no matter the age), stagnant energy gets trapped throughout our bodies. It’s trapped in our shoulders, neck, spine, knees, etc. By using these exercises to start, we begin to move that stagnant energy around & OUT of our bodies (one of the “Releasing” strategies in STARR).  These are simple illustrations, without formal instructions, you can follow from the visuals, alone. Once you are ready to start learning about more advanced STARR Exercises, you can check them out in the SameHere Scale app by clicking here.
